Kia ora, my name is Frank Young and I am honoured and excited to be one of the new teachers appointed as the foundation team for Te Ao Mārama School.
I grew up in rural Gisborne, eventually moving north to Hamilton where I attended Hamilton Boys’ High then Waikato University to complete my studies as a primary teacher. I have been teaching for 9 years, with most of that time spent at Hukanui Primary School.
My wife Kasey is also a primary teacher and together we have a young son Felix who recently celebrated his 1st birthday.
One of my passions is the outdoors, more specifically adventure racing, another is digital learning and technologies.
I look forward to the different challenges that come with starting a new school and I’m excited about forming new relationships with families and the community.
