Kia Ora koutou, my name is Ruby August and I am incredibly excited to begin my teaching career at Te Ao Mārama School. I am a beginning teacher and feel extremely privileged to be a member of an incredible team and become apart of the Te Ao Mārama community.

I am originally from Palmerston North and moved to Hamilton to study at Waikato University. I am looking forward to being able to put into practice everything I have learned throughout my University experience.

I have an interest in special education and diversity and love seeing what each individual learner brings in to the classroom. In my spare time I enjoy playing netball, being active and exploring the beautiful Aotearoa.

I am looking forward to meeting the Te Ao Mārama whānau, community and tamariki on this exciting new journey.
