Spencer is the Governance Facilitator
The governance facilitator supports and guides the school’s establishment board through setting up the school so it’s functioning fully and effectively by opening day.
A key role is to ensure the board:
¥ complies with all legal requirements
¥ meets all the ministry’s requirements for establishing a new state school.

The governance facilitator’s contract with the Ministry of Education starts at / shortly after the EBoT is appointed and ends when the school and EBoT are fully functioning and there are processes in place to hand over to an elected board of trustees.
