Kia ora, My name is Charlene van Noordwyk, originally from South Africa, and I am incredibly excited to be joining the Te Ao Mārama whānau.

I, along with my husband and two precious children, have been living in New Zealand for nearly three years now, and we can happily call Aotearoa home. Before moving to New Zealand, I taught overseas in a small country called Brunei. Through these experiences, I have developed a strong understanding of multicultural and diverse teaching and learning environments.

I am a passionate, dedicated, and nurturing kaiako with a love for building strong connections. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is witnessing the growth in each child as they blossom into their unique selves.Outside of the classroom, I spend much of my time on family sports being their biggest cheerleader. I enjoy going on adventures, capturing special moments, and spending quality time with my family and friends.

I look forward to getting to know all of you and being part of this wonderful community.
