Classroom Release Teacher

Kia ora, I’m Abby. I’m very excited to be joining the Te Ao Marama community and can’t wait to get to know everyone.

I grew up in Waipukurau, in Hawke's Bay, I have a love for music, I enjoy singing and playing a few different instruments. Outside of the classroom, you’ll often find me at Crossfit or out on the tennis court, as I love staying active and moving my body.

My favourite part of being a teacher is witnessing those special “light bulb” moments when learning clicks for students, and supporting them to learn from mistakes as they grow into confident, successful learners. I value kindness and building positive relationships, and I pride myself on being warm, friendly, and very approachable.
