Kia ora! My name is Julia.

I feel very humbled and privileged to be joining the Te Ao Mārama whānau as an Inclusive Learning Assistant.

I was born in Malaysia, have been living in New Zealand for around 12 years, and am happily married with an 8-year-old daughter. With a background in engineering, I have a strong passion for mathematics and helping children make sense of ideas. I am excited to support children in building confidence and understanding in maths, and I recently graduated with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education.

On weekends, I love spending time with my family, jogging and cycling together around Hamilton. I’m thrilled to be part of the Te Ao Mārama whānau and look forward to meeting you all and our wonderful tamariki.
