Lochlan Willis

Kāiarahi I te reo

Hi - I am Lochlan Willis.

I have just finished my time at high school - Rototuna Senior High. I am excited to be joining Te Ao Mārama whānau as a Kaiārahi i te Reo.

I am super passionate about te reo Māori and kapa haka and have been a part of a kapa haka rōpu for the past 8 years. I have performed all the way from primary school festivals to high school regionals and have travelled to many places in the North Island for kapa haka or Māori related events. This has been awesome for building confidence and staying connected to theculture.

Outside of school, I train in mixed martial arts 5-6 days a week which helps me stay fit and focused. I am really looking forward to getting to know everyone and helping our tamariki grow in their reo and tikanga.
